NEW condensed 4-week format + bonus final coaching call

Registration opens October 15th 2024!

Have you ever wished that ...

  • You understood WHY your child doesn't like to eat foods that everyone else does and how you can help them without mealtime battles?

  • Your child would eat a VARIETY of foods? (or even simply be willing to TRY or TOUCH a new food without freaking out?)

  • You could enjoy a pleasant family meal, instead of wishing it was over before it started?

  • You knew how to be considerate of preferences without catering or making chicken fingers every night?

  • You had confidence your child was getting all the nutrients required for growth, instead of worrying about their health?

  • You knew how to talk about food to your child in a positive way, instead of worrying about "messing up" their relationship with food?

If so, you are in the right place!

... let us help you sleep better at night and put all your fears and frustrations to rest!

Chaos 2 Calm gives you a roadmap to address picky eating at the root cause

It's a 7-step process we journey on together!

STEP 1: The Mealtime Mindset Makeover. We examine foundational knowledge about picky eating and look at 3 key mindset shifts that you need to make before being able to address picky eating at home.

STEP 2: The Picky Eating Iceberg (Getting to the Root Cause): We dig deep into what's hidden below the surface for selective eaters, to truly understand the root cause(s) of picky eating and how to address it.

STEP 3: The Feeding Strategy: We build the foundation for exactly HOW to feed your selective eater, using a positive parenting model. You will learn the difference between your job vs. your child's job in feeding and how to finally put an end to common mealtime battles.

STEP 4: The Learning Eater Strategy: Do you know how kids actually learn to like new foods? Here we will focus our attention on how we can create an environment conducive to learning to like new foods in 3 main areas - at the table, in the kitchen and at play!

STEP 5: The Growing Strategy: Next we learn about how children grow, interpreting those confusing growth charts, what 'underweight' and 'overweight' and BMI really mean, and how to talk to children about growth in a body positive way.

STEP 6: The Nutrition Strategy: Now that you know "how" to feed your child to encourage positive mealtime behaviours, we will look at the "what" of feeding. We will look at common nutrients that are low or missing for picky eaters and how to fill the gaps through food and supplements.

STEP 7: The Happy Eater and Feeder: Finally, we will put this all together to look at how we raise intuitive eaters and will review those special situations like holidays, travel, eating out, school lunches etc.

What past members have to say!

Huge results/payoff!

EK, mom of 1, Ontario CANADA

"We're still seeing huge results/payoff from the framework you taught us for feeding. Our son is becoming more and more willing to try new things, or previously non-preferred foods, or even things he's never seen before, like some Diwali treats at our neighbours! It's so gratifying to see it play out! Thank you! I'm so glad I took your course - it was SO helpful!"

No more power struggles

S & E, Parents of 2, Ontario CANADA

My husband and I sought out Rosanne's help after our 4.5 year old became hyper focused on snack time and negotiating meals while stuck at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. She's always been a relatively picky eater but the constant talking about food and treats was something new, and I didn't know how to handle it! After a quick intro call with Rosanne, we chose to take the Chaos 2 Calm course because each week's topic was of interest to us. We quickly learned what our responsibility in the feeding relationship was, and what to let go of. I realized when her pickiness got worse, I tried to control feeding more, leading to a power struggle. Now that I only decide what, when and were to eat, and she gets to decide how much to eat, the pressure has been removed and we've seen a dramatic change in her attitude towards food and mealtime. I highly recommend Chaos 2 Calm, we've learned so much more than I could have anticipated!!

Supportive, non-judgmental & holistic approach

Stephanie, Mom of 3, Ontario CANADA

Prior to taking this course, I often felt overwhelmed and helpless about how to encourage my children to be comfortable exploring new foods. Throughout the course I felt both reassured and challenged to try new things. Rosanne had a supportive and non-judgmental approach, assisting us as participants to explore various factors that may be negatively impacting family mealtimes. Tools and strategies were also presented, and Rosanne had a wealth of knowledge when responding to questions. I have no doubt I will use the workbook I received as a reference for years to come. Professionally I have a background in social work, and I appreciated the holistic approach Rosanne presented. She encouraged us to consider our own beliefs and biases about food, as well as individual factors impacting our families, setting us up for success instead of simply focusing on strategies. If anyone is struggling with family mealtimes or “picky” eating, I highly recommend this course!

For real families, with real everyday lives!

The Penner Family, British Columbia, CANADA

When I first saw the "Chaos 2 Calm" course info on social, I was intrigued. While our three year old isn't exactly a picky eater, mealtimes had started to feel chaotic. We quickly grew frustrated when his previous favourite foods suddenly became foods he wouldn't even touch. With a new baby joining us at the table we just couldn't keep up the song and dance that mealtimes had become. "Chaos 2 Calm" was a great step for our family. The information was both evidence based and accessible to real families raising real kiddos with real everyday lives and real schedules. The format was practical and so well organized it was easy to complete the course at our own pace. The instructor Rosanne Robinson is a dynamic communicator and passionate instructor who draws from her decade worth of experience working with families and children as a registered dietitian and marries that with her hands-on lived experience as a parent. She gets it!

Calmer mealtimes

Julia, Mom of 2, Manitoba CANADA

Before joining this course, mealtimes with my three and a half year old were a major source of stress. After multiple failed attempts at getting my son to like vegetables I felt trapped in a power-struggle rut, buying foods for my son that I didn't feel great about, but feeling as though I had few other options. After taking the course I am now equipped with the tools I was lacking, as well I have gained confidence in executing a new and extremely effective approach that is centered around fostering a positive relationship with food for the long-term. Literally within days of beginning the course and implementing some of the strategies mealtimes began to look completely different- much calmer, and actually enjoyable for everyone! My son has embraced that he is a 'learning eater', and we continue to celebrate wins on a regular basis. The knowledge and support I have received through this course has been invaluable and instrumental on our journey from 'chaos to calm'.

Are you a good fit for Chaos 2 Calm?

Here are 5 questions you need to say "yes" to before signing up for Chaos 2 Calm:

  1. Are you teachable? Are you ready to learn new ways of viewing & reframing the picky eating situation and willing to un-learn old concepts and strategies that are not serving you or your child?
  2. Can you open up and share in a group setting? Are you willing to ask questions and practice compassion towards others within a small group setting? Participation always yields the best results! (P.S. If the group setting isn't for you, check out our 1:1 program!)
  3. Do you have ~2 hours of time each week to devote towards this course? The best transformations have come from those who show up live for the education/coaching sessions (1 hour) and implement new strategies between teaching sessions (1 hour or more).
  4. Do you acknowledge that this isn't a "quick fix" problem? We cannot guarantee that your child will be eating 'x' number of new foods by the end of this course. (Not only is this impossible to promise, it's also a problematic way of viewing success). We CAN promise you that you will have all the tools you need to foster a "learning eater" environment at home. With consistent implementation of strategies that are suitable for your child, you will feel 100% more confident, mealtimes will be calm and you will rest easy knowing that your child is getting the nutrition they need AND growing up to be an eater who has a good relationship with food and their body.
  5. Are you ready to be FULLY SUPPORTED? We're going to be cheering you on, checking in with you and answering all of your questions before we end a call - are you ready for all the love?! :)

FAQ

  • How long will it take before I see "results" and my child is eating better?

This is dependent on so many factors. Most families will start to see initial progress as soon as they start lovingly, but firmly and with consistency, implementing the course strategies at home. Your child's initial progress might look like your son sitting at the table for 5 minutes longer or your daughter no longer screaming "yuck" at dinner. We cannot guarantee that your child will eat 'x' amount of vegetables by the end of the course. We CAN guarantee that you will have the tools you need to move from a state of chaos to calm at mealtimes and explore and talk about food in a positive way that will set them up for a long term success as a competent and intuitive eater.

  • How long do I have access to the course materials?

You will have full access to the course materials for 1 full year. The course booklets and handouts and all downloadable handouts are yours forever as they can be saved or printed for future reference.

  • What age is this course geared towards?

The strategies (and examples) in this course are designed for children from about 2 years up to about 10 years. However, you can still benefit from the course if you have slightly younger or slightly older kids!

  • What is the weekly time commitment for the course?

We know you're busy! This is why we've redesigned the course so there are only 4 weeks of live calls and the rest of the learning can happen at your own pace. Each live teaching session is approximately 1 hour. The other time that is required is time to review the extra resources provided in the course each week, as well as time to reflect on what you've learned and implement new strategies at home.

  • Is this course only for moms?

Absolutely not! It's for anyone who is a parent to or caregiver of a child. We encourage you and your parenting partner(s) to participate in the live calls (and complete any exercises) together.

  • Is this course covered by health insurance?

Many extended health insurance benefit plans have coverage for the services of a Registered Dietitian. You need to inquire with your specific employee benefits plan. If you need an official receipt after each session, simply ask and we will forward that to you ASAP. [Please note that any 1:1 counselling sessions purchased in addition to the group program would automatically receive a receipt.]

  • Does this course highlight strategies specifically for neurodivergent children?

The course is inclusive of approaches for all children, including neurodivergent children. Rosanne has taken courses in neurodivergent affirming approaches to helping families with selective eating and aims to provide strategies and suggestions that are inclusive of all families, all children, all abilities and all feeding goals.
